Freedom 55 Financial GJAC Journalism Scholarship
As part of its mandate to give back and to support young journalists, the Golf Journalists Association of Canada (GJAC), with the support of Freedom 55 Financial, is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a journalism student — in an undergraduate or graduate program — attending a Canadian college or university with a passion for sports journalism.
To apply for the Freedom 55 Financial GJAC Journalism Scholarship, please send a cover letter detailing why you deserve this award along with at least three examples of your work covering sports (golf stories are not required, but would be considered a plus) from any school year (print, web, radio or television) to Jason Logan, editor of SCOREGolf, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Entries may be from class assignments work, co-op placements or freelance opportunities. The deadline to apply for this bursary is June 1, 2020. A committee of GJAC members will determine the scholarship’s recipient. Only the recipient will be contacted.
