Golf Journalists of Canada Journalism Scholarship
Since 2015 the Golf Journalists Association of Canada (GJAC) has offered a $2,000 scholarship to a student attending a Canadian college or university showing a passion for sports journalism.
Part of GJAC’s mandate is to promote golf journalism in Canada and recognize excellence in Canadian sports journalism overall. The scholarship was established to encourage excellence in sports coverage — in all forms of media — by student journalists across the country.
The Golf Journalists Association of Canada will be handing out two journalism bursaries in 2023. The application window is now open, with the winners being announced in early summer. Only students in undergraduate programs are eligible.
A huge thank you to our Journalism Scholarship sponsors, SCOREGolf and Dan & Laura Keogh.
If you have any questions regarding the scholarship, please contact Adam Stanley at adam@adamstanley.ca.
How To Apply: Submit four pieces of published work in any medium via attachment or web link plus a cover letter no longer than 300 words on why you want to pursue sports journalism to adam@adamstanley.ca.
Your clips do not have to be about golf.
Application Deadline: June 1, 2023
